Sales Contract

Congrats on your new puppy, you have just made a life long commitment. You have purchased a male/female at the price of $______________. Buying a puppy is like having a new baby in the house and will require your time, love and attention. Sometimes, life changes do occur and we have to do things we don’t want to do.  I promise to you, to be here for any questions or advice. 

In the unfortunate event that your new puppy is not fitting into your home well, we can find your pet a new loving home so it does not end up in the pound. My goal is to find forever homes for my babies. Feel free to contact me with any concerns.

You will have 10 days to take the puppy to a vet of your choice, at your cost, to have him / her examined. Although I have done my very best to assure that you have received a healthy puppy I cannot be responsible for fleas, ticks, worms or coccidia, which are every day concerns of a new puppy. However if your vet finds that said puppy is not and cannot live a healthy life I will refund money or exchange for a new puppy.

Your new puppy has been vaccinated ________times and wormed _________times.

He/ she will need their next worming on ______________ and his/ her next vaccine on _______________. The puppy and the parents of your puppy have been checked and found negative for a heart murmur, and healthy for breeding. I cannot guarantee that your pup will grow up to be a show dog or a breed-able dog.

HEALTH GUARANTEE

1.  Seller guarantees that the Puppy is in good health, and has received appropriate medical inoculations, worming and care.   Seller will provide Buyer with proof of medical treatment the Puppy has received under Seller's care.

2.  Seller guarantees that Puppy is free of life threatening diseases or disabilities for 72 hours after delivery to Buyer. Should life threatening diseases or disabilities be discovered by Buyer within 72 hours after receipt of Puppy, and attested to in writing to Seller by Buyer's veterinarian, Seller will provide Buyer with a replacement breed quality puppy as soon as such a puppy is available to Seller, or refund 100% of purchase price ($_______). Seller strongly recommends that Buyer have Puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian of Buyers choice within 72 hours of receipt of Puppy.

If delivery is requested by Buyer, it shall be by airfreight & shipping costs are $300 to a designated location. Buyer is also responsible for the cost of insurance and freight charges during shipment. Buyer will receive his / her vet certification, crate, puppy pack and food for his / her trip. Your puppy will not ship until the vet gives the okay and definitely not until puppy is at least 8 weeks old.

Buyer agrees that he/she is not acting as an agent in the purchase or this puppy/dog and that Buyer will not sell this puppy/dog or its progeny to any agent, pet store or guard dog business.

Buyer agrees that the puppy will reside at the home of the Buyer, have access to a fenced yard, not be chained or tethered, and will be provided with proper housing, a good quality diet, annual shots and exercise.

Seller shall not be held responsible for the development of disqualifying faults, diseases, or disorders, which are due to Buyers negligence.

Buyer and Seller agree that this Agreement will be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina and may not be altered, modified or rescinded unless agreed to in writing by Buyer and Seller.

The undersigned agree to uphold all covenants of this Agreement as of this______ day of, _______20___.
